Thoth · Slack integration

Help connecting your team.

For installation, workspace linking, notification delivery, or review issues, email support@atensecurity.com. You do not need an Aten account to contact us.

Include enough context to find the problem.

Tell us your organization and Slack workspace name, which step failed, and approximately when it happened, including your time zone. Include the error text or a redacted screenshot if available. Do not send access tokens, passwords, or sensitive agent data.

Installation and account setup

Your Slack administrator may need to approve Aten’s installation. After Slack authorization, an Aten tenant administrator must link the workspace to the correct organization. If you installed before creating an Aten account, follow the account setup and linking steps shown after authorization. Contact support if you cannot complete them.

One primary workspace connects to each Aten organization. If your workspace is already linked elsewhere, ask your organization’s administrator to review the connection before attempting another installation.

Missing notifications or unavailable actions

  • Check that Slack is connected and notifications are enabled in Thoth settings.
  • Confirm the configured destination and give the Aten app access to that channel. For direct messages, confirm that Thoth can identify the intended Slack recipient.
  • Verify that a connected Thoth deployment produced a BLOCK or STEP_UP decision. Installing the Slack app alone does not generate alerts.
  • Approval and exception-review actions require permission under your organization’s policy. A request may also have expired or already been resolved.

Disconnecting, privacy, and security

An Aten tenant administrator can disconnect Slack in Thoth settings. Your Slack workspace’s app management controls can also remove the Aten app. See the privacy notice for information about records that remain after disconnection and how to request access, transfer, or deletion.
