Terms of Service

Last updated: October 8, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Aten Security's services, you agree to these terms. If you represent an organization, you accept on its behalf. A separate signed agreement controls where it conflicts with these terms.

2. Services and accounts

Thoth evaluates AI agent actions before execution and provides runtime governance, approval workflows, and tamper-evident decision evidence. Your organization manages its policies, identities, integrations, and credentials. Thoth does not guarantee that every harmful action will be detected or that using the service satisfies a regulatory obligation.

3. Trial evaluation

Each verified company domain receives one 30-day evaluation beginning when its first user verifies their work email. Joining again does not restart the clock. The trial includes up to 5 agents, 100,000 policy checks per evaluation, 100 approval resolutions per month, 5 reviewer seats, 10 custom policies, 10 active exceptions, and 2 MCP vendors. Limits and enabled integrations are shown in the trial documentation and service configuration. Exceeding a limit does not permit a previously blocked or held action to execute. Extensions require approval. A trial does not automatically convert to a paid subscription.

4. Customer responsibilities

Use the service lawfully, obtain permissions needed to submit data and govern actions, and configure policies and integrations to match your organization's requirements. Protect credentials and notify Aten Security of unauthorized access. Use test data during evaluation and do not submit secrets or sensitive customer data. An approval or ALLOW decision does not transfer responsibility for an agent's action to Aten Security.

5. Acceptable use

Do not interfere with the service, upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, violate third-party rights, or reverse engineer the hosted platform except where applicable law permits it. Separately licensed open-source components remain governed by their own licenses. We may suspend accounts violating these terms.

6. Data ownership and use

You retain ownership of submitted data. You authorize us to process it to provide and secure the service, administer your account, and meet legal obligations. Reviewed trial approvals may be used as training labels to improve enforcement as disclosed during signup and in the Privacy Policy. Contact privacy@atensecurity.com to request deletion of retained records and training data. We apply confidentiality and access controls; we do not claim certification under SOC 2 or ISO 27001.

7. Trial expiry and conversion

At expiry, enforcement, approvals, and new API keys stop. Your policies and decision evidence remain read-only for 30 days after expiry. Export before that period ends. Conversion during this period preserves your policies and evidence under the paid agreement; it does not rewrite prior decisions or allow held actions. Without conversion, trial policies and evidence are deleted after the period. Minimal anti-repeat company records and legally required records may remain as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

Aten Security retains rights to its software, models, and platform materials. A limited, revocable, non-exclusive license permits use during the evaluation or subscription term, subject to these terms and any separate agreement.

9. Availability and support

We strive for availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance or updates may affect service. Enterprise support is governed by the applicable agreement. Trial access is for evaluation and carries no production service-level guarantee.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Services are provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aten Security is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability is limited to fees paid during the preceding 12 months.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate use upon notice if the other materially breaches these terms. Customer data will be deleted or exported in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Ending trial access does not turn a blocked or held action into an allowed action.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco, California.

13. Changes and contact

We may revise these terms from time to time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms, subject to applicable notice requirements. Contact legal@atensecurity.com about these terms.
