Founding Solutions and Deployment Engineer
Own the technical path from customer discovery through secure production deployment.
Why this role
Customers must be able to connect Thoth to real agents, identity systems, tools, and audit destinations without creating a permanent custom fork.
You will own that last mile from technical discovery and prototype through production acceptance, adoption, and operational handoff.
How we hire
High Energy. High Intelligence. Low Ego.
H₂O is Aten's standard for enthusiasm, competence, and character. We look for people who create momentum, exercise sound judgment, and put truth and the mission ahead of credit.
Integrate Thoth through SDK, API, proxy, and MCP paths in customer environments.
Build and adapt agent harnesses across model calls, context, state, tool execution, policy hooks, approvals, retries, timeouts, and telemetry.
Turn customer goals into explicit security, privacy, reliability, performance, scale, and cost constraints.
Package and validate connected, customer-managed, and disconnected deployments.
Create deployment automation, diagnostics, runbooks, upgrade procedures, and rollback paths.
Own proof-of-concept outcomes, including success criteria, implementation, red teaming, acceptance tests, launch, and measured adoption.
Convert repeated integration work into supported product interfaces and reusable playbooks.
Expected outcomes
Milestones, not activity theater.
First week
Run the supported integration path, map an assigned environment, and submit a verified deployment, diagnostic, code, or documentation improvement within three to five business days.
First 30 days
Deliver a measurable proof-of-concept or production milestone with security, operations, adoption, and rollback evidence.
First 90 days
Demonstrate repeatable technical ownership and convert recurring integration work into a supported component, automation, or playbook.
First 180 days
Lead multiple deployments from discovery through operational handoff while maintaining clear product and customization boundaries.
What we are looking for
Strong backend, platform, SRE, or security engineering experience in customer environments.
Production Go experience building or integrating APIs and services.
Practical Python experience and the ability to debug TypeScript SDK and frontend integration paths.
Production experience with AWS, Terraform, identity, containers, networking, and observability.
Experience translating unclear customer requirements into testable implementation plans.
Hands-on experience building or debugging multi-step agent harnesses and evaluation suites.
Calm incident handling and concise technical communication with engineers and executives.
Useful experience
Rust systems development
Kubernetes, ECS, SIEM, identity-provider, API-gateway, or MCP integrations
Regulated, disconnected, or government customer environments
NIST 800-171, CMMC, FedRAMP, FIPS, SBOM, or ATO evidence
Our working stack
Go APIs and control plane
Python model and enforcement services
Rust endpoint and ingestion components
TypeScript SDK and frontend surfaces
AWS, Terraform, containers, Kubernetes, identity, and observability
How we evaluate
We use a hybrid process because the job requires both independent engineering judgment and effective use of AI. You should be able to reason without a model, then use one to move faster while reviewing its output critically.
1A focused introduction call about the role and what you have built.
2A technical working session with an AI-free segment and an AI-enabled segment.
3A practical exercise grounded in security, systems judgment, and clear tradeoffs.
4Reference checks and a mutual discussion of the evaluation period and start timing.
